Making Snooker More Inclusive

Three-time World Snooker Champion Mark Williams was guest of honour at the Stephen Harrison Snooker Academy’s 15th birthday celebration...

The academy runs professional snooker tuition for people with learning and physical disabilities and the Welsh potting machine made ton after ton as part of an exhibition event.

Stephen – who featured in Living with Disability magazine in 2019 - set up the academy as a social enterprise in Sheffield, with the aim of carrying on his father’s legacy of making the game more accessible for people with varying disabilities.

His father, Ray Harrison, won the Paraplegic World Snooker Championship in 1985.
