Living with Disability Magazine – Competition Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all competitions and prize draws run by Living with Disability (LWD) Magazine, both online and in our printed magazine.

Living with Disability is a brand owned by Ability Promotions 2022 Limited.

By entering a competition, you agree to the following terms.

1. Who Can Enter
Competitions are open to UK residents aged 18 or over, unless otherwise stated.

Some competitions may have additional entry requirements, which will be clearly explained.

Employees of Ability Promotions, competition sponsors and their immediate families cannot enter.

You must provide accurate contact details when entering.

2. How to Enter
Competitions may appear on the Living with Disability website or in the printed magazine.

Entry instructions and closing dates will be provided with each competition.

Online competitions are free to enter unless otherwise stated.

For postal competitions, entries must arrive by the closing date. Correct postage is required.

Unless otherwise stated, only one entry per person per competition is allowed.

Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted.

Automated, fraudulent or duplicate entries may be disqualified.

3. Choosing Winners
Winners will normally be chosen at random from all valid entries, unless the competition requires judging.

Winners will be contacted using the details provided when entering, normally within 28 days of the closing date.

Winners must respond within 21 days of being contacted, unless otherwise stated.

If a winner cannot be contacted or does not meet the entry requirements, another winner may be chosen.

Our decision regarding competition winners is final.

4. Prizes
Prizes are as described in each competition.

Prizes cannot be exchanged, transferred or replaced with cash.

If a prize becomes unavailable, we may offer a suitable alternative of similar or greater value.

Prizes will only be delivered to UK addresses.

We are not responsible for delays or loss caused by delivery services beyond our reasonable control.

Winners may be asked to provide proof of identity or address.

Any additional expenses not specifically included in the prize are the winner's responsibility.

Prizes provided by third parties may be subject to their own terms and conditions.

5. Special Prizes
Some prizes, such as holidays, event tickets or experiences, may have additional conditions.

These will be explained in the individual competition details.

Winners are responsible for checking any travel requirements, availability, accessibility arrangements and additional costs before accepting their prize.

6. Publicity and Personal Information
We will only use your personal information to administer the competition, contact winners and arrange prizes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may publish a winner's first name and general location when announcing competition results.

We may ask winners for a photograph or comment about their prize for use in the magazine or on our website.

Any use of personal information for marketing will be handled separately in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

7. General Rules
We reserve the right to reject entries that do not follow the competition rules.

We may change, postpone or cancel a competition where reasonably necessary due to circumstances beyond our control.

We cannot accept responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed or not received because of postal or technical problems beyond our reasonable control.

Any additional rules stated alongside an individual competition will also apply.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
