Wheelchair Tennis Brits Compete on Court

Great Britain’s Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid (pictured above) will face each other in the second round of the French Open wheelchair tennis singles after they began their campaigns with dominant victories.

Second seed Hewett needed just 57 minutes to beat Chile’s Alexander Cataldo 6-1 6-0, while Reid beat French wildcard Nicolas Charrier 6-0 7-5.

The pair are long-time doubles partners and are five-time defending champions in Paris.

Hewett has won the French Open title three times, while Reid is a two-time runner-up.
