Run, walk, Push or Pull at Parallel Windsor 2026

The national inclusive sports event Parallel Windsor will take place on July 5 this year.

Entries are now open to run, walk, wander, push or pull along Windsor Great Park’s stunning Long Mile, and organisers have announced that there will be free accessible shuttles to get there from local train stations.

Designed for people to start together but finish whenever, Parallel’s flagship event aims to challenge everyone to get moving by taking part in a range of multiple running, walking, and pushing distances, including 100m, 1K, 5K and 10K.

To get participants ready for the challenge, Matt Brinkley from Making Fitness Accessible will provide a warm-up on the start line.

The iconic event also features the SuperSensory 1k, supporting neurodiverse people with profound and multiple learning disabilities to exercise their senses over a series of challenges, such as responding to sound, taste, and touch.

"Parallel Windsor is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate difference, achievement, and opportunity for all and LWD is proud to be a media partner for the event,” said LWD Editor, Clive Davis.

“Parallel Windsor 2026 is a joyous event and a great way for charities to fundraise at a truly inclusive event for all ages, health conditions and abilities.”

This year will also see the return of the Greatest Dancer Challenge, a mass participation dance for everyone to show off their best moves.

An integral part of the Parallel Windsor experience is an inclusive festival which features an outdoor stage for live music and a range of family entertainment which includes arts and crafts, storytelling, inclusive sport, active lifestyle, cookery, wellbeing and dance.

Plus, just announced, a circus skills workshop, bubbleologist, giant games and face painting.

There will also be food and drink from around the world, a community picnic area, quiet space and a sensory zone.
