Congratulations to Fulham Reach Boat Club (FRBC), the Every Body Moves powered by Toyota Club of the Month for May.

The charity has a vision to be a Sport for Good Centre of Excellence, transforming lives through rowing by making it an accessible, inclusive, and transformative activity.

Fulham Reach’s journey into accessible rowing came via an initial coproduced pilot event for vision impaired participants during the 2024 Paralympic Games and saw this expand to a 12 week course in 2025 with people travelling as far as 70 miles to join in this highly in-demand session.

“Being recognised as Every Body Moves ‘Club of the Month’ is incredibly special, but what makes us most proud is seeing disabled people discover that the river belongs to them too,” said Julia Philipson, Chief of Community Development at FRBC.

“Something transformative happens when you’re close to water, away from barriers, expectations and the everyday. You don’t need experience; you just need the opportunity to try. Accessible rowing at FRBC is about freedom of movement, confidence, connection and redefining what’s possible.  I’d encourage everyone to come and give it a go” 

Every Body Moves believes in the transformative power of disability sport and inclusive physical activity. Whether local activities or ways to stay active at home, its mission is to connect disabled people to inclusive and accessible activities across the UK.
