Europe’s leading tricycle manufacturer has announced it will be opening the doors to its third showroom in Chester this month to meet the rising demand for accessible transport options.
Jorvik Tricycles’ bespoke 4,706sq ft showroom gives customers the opportunity to test ride tricycles on-site, thanks to a purpose-built 300m square indoor track designed to replicate real road conditions.
Complete with a roundabout, three exits and dual lanes, the state-of-the-art track provides a safe and fully immersive environment for test riding, whatever the weather.
The new showroom and workshop will be open from Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm and Saturday 8.30am-2pm, when visitors can test all products in Jorvik Tricycles’ 12-strong range.
This bricks-and-mortar expansion comes soon after the business opened its Southampton showroom in late 2025, reflecting the continued importance of physical retail to the brand.
“Opening a third showroom is a huge achievement for us and marks another important milestone in Jorvik’s growth journey,” said James Walker, Founder and Managing Director of York based Jorvik Tricycles.
“Investing in bricks-and-mortar locations and bringing Jorvik closer to customers across the UK remains a key part of our strategy, particularly as many of our customers value the opportunity to see, test ride and compare tricycles in person before making a purchase.
“Over the last few years, we've seen continued demand across the Northwest and Wales through our home demonstration service, so we're thrilled to bring a dedicated showroom to Chester and provide even more people with access to expert advice, one-to-one consultations and hands-on product demonstrations.”
Founded in 2014 by James Walker (pictured above), Jorvik Tricycles has grown from humble beginnings, with James building tricycles by hand in his living room, to a multi-million-pound retailer that has supported more than 35,000 customers to enjoy the freedom of cycling.
