Live to Your Living Room

Live to Your Living Room’s gigs takes on a festive feel this week with John Kirkpatrick, pictured above, (December 11) and A Winter Union (December 13) on the programme.

Kirkpatrick’s ‘Carolling & Crumpets’ show takes its title from his unforgettable song telling the Nativity story from the point of view of the animals in the stable. It’s a heart-warming look at the timeless rituals found in the folklore and folk music of England at Midwinter.

On Friday Live to Your Living Room will livestream A Winter Union’s gig in partnership with Downend Folk & Roots.

Expect soaring harmonies and exquisite musicianship as the five-piece festive folk band blast through a repertoire of brand new, specially written songs, fresh arrangements of traditional carols both well-loved and little-known, and seasonal classics from both sides of the Atlantic.

To watch shows live or opt-in to receive a recording of the gigs, available for 72 hours, visit https://livetoyourlivingroom.com/ for details.

Launched by Cat McGill and fellow musician, producer and educator Pete Ord, Live to your Living Room delivers the very best of the folk, roots, and acoustic music scene live to your home.

Great for anyone who can’t get to gigs because of their disability, insurmountable problems in getting there, just too ill or, as is the case with autistic people, completely out of their comfort zone in a social setting.
