Live to Your Living Room

Live to Your Living Room’s gig tomorrow night (October 1) features May Monday & Friends - a collaboration between Karen Tweed (piano accordion) and Timo Alakotila (piano).

They'll be joining live from beautiful Orkney as part of their 25th anniversary tour, marrying together a wide range of musical styles - from reels and polskas to tangos and airs.

They'll also be joined by a whole host of special guests, including Marion Göbel (cello), Ursula Leveaux (bassoon), Douglas Montgomery (fiddle), David McNeish (vocals, guitar, piano, poems, stories) and James Groat (guitars, banjo, mandolin), all brought together by compere Cameron Stout (BBC Radio Orkney).

Launched by Cat McGill and fellow musician, producer and educator Pete Ord, Live to your Living Room delivers the very best of the folk, roots, and acoustic music scene live to your home.

Great for anyone who can’t get to gigs because of their disability, insurmountable problems in getting there, just too ill or, as is the case with autistic people, completely out of their comfort zone in a social setting.

To watch May Monday & Friends live (7.30pm BST/doors at 7.15pm) or opt-in to receive a recording of the gig, available for 72 hours, visit https://livetoyourlivingroom.com/ for details
