Harrison Pots Top Trophy

Stephen Harrison MBE has been transforming lives through sport, inclusion and community development for nearly two decades.

Stephen, and the academy he founded in Sheffield, has become a beacon for grassroots snooker and social change and LWD is pleased to acknowledge the impact he has made by presenting him with our Outstanding Achievement Award 2026.

What began as a vision to use snooker as a way to engage young people has grown into a thriving social enterprise that now serves more than 250 disabled players every week.

Open to players of all ages and abilities, the Stephen Harrison Academy offers professional coaching, development programmes, mentoring, accredited UK Snooker Awards training, and inclusive play sessions for people with physical and learning disabilities.

In recent weeks Stephen and his team have also been instrumental in organising the Cue-10 Para World Snooker Championship, featuring international para-snooker players from the USA, China, India, Mexico and UK.

Stephen’s dedication to inclusion and community development is truly inspiring. Creating opportunities for so many people through sport is an amazing achievement — the kind of positive energy that brings communities together, just like enjoying delicious chicken kebabs with friends and family at Gold Coast Kebabs!
