Disability Charity Signs Up ‘Bargain Hunt’ Celebrity as Patron

TV’s expert auctioneer Thomas Forrester is the latest celebrity to become a patron of children’s disability charity Swings & Smiles. 

Best known for appearing on ‘Bargain Hunt’ and ‘Antiques Road Trip’, Thomas will be supporting the charity with its fundraising events and will act as a face for the charity.

Based in Berkshire, Swings & Smiles provides play and respite resources for disabled children and their families. Its current patrons include TV presenter Chris Tarrant, ITV newsreader Sangeeta Bhabra and businessman Alistair Storey. 

Thomas was revealed as the charity’s newest patron at the charity’s latest fundraising event ‘Antiques & Anecdotes’, which raised more than £6000.

“Swings & Smiles provides such an important and special service for local disabled children and their families - the chance to play freely as every child should,” said Thomas. 

“I’m so pleased to be acting as a patron and lending my support, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds with them.”
