A team from Jorvik Tricycles has successfully completed the National Three Peaks challenge.
Poppy, Sam and founder of Jorvik Tricycles, James Walker, successfully summited Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Yr Wyddfa (also known as Snowdon) within 24 hours in aid of Parkinson's UK.
James was inspired to create his first tricycle in 2014 to support his father, who could no longer ride a traditional bike due to Parkinson’s, and the Jorvik Tricycles team undertook the challenge to raise funds and awareness for the charity, raising a total of more than £1,800 to date.
"We are incredibly proud of the team for completing such a tough challenge and supporting a cause so close to our hearts,” said James.
“Parkinson’s UK has always been central to the Jorvik Tricycles story, and being able to contribute to the charity’s work in this way has been really special."
Parkinson’s UK is the UK’s leading charity supporting people affected by Parkinson’s, funding groundbreaking research and providing vital advice, support, and campaigning to improve life for those living with the condition.
The money raised by the Jorvik Tricycles team will directly contribute to advancing treatments and ensuring individuals and families impacted by Parkinson’s have access to care and information.
