Cafe Owner Paints Window Mural in Aid of Guide Dogs

clive579

Artist Alice Herring has created a stunning Guide Dogs themed window at the café she co-owns in Warwickshire.

Alice, who will be running in this year’s London Marathon for the charity, hopes the window mural will help to reach her £4,000 target, as well as raise awareness of the charity’s fostering and puppy raising volunteering roles.

The artwork, which shows a selection of the charity’s dogs at different stages of their training, alongside the London skyline, has transformed the front of the Rustic Food café in Leamington Spa.

“We’re extremely grateful to Alice and everyone at Rustic Food for their support,” said Graham Kensett, Head of Canine Assisted Services for the Midlands and East region at Guide Dogs.

“The window mural which Alice has created is a fantastic, fun way to showcase the work we do at Guide Dogs.

“Hopefully the mural may encourage people to find out more about volunteering for us, as well as encouraging people to donate towards Alice’s marathon fund.”

Alice’s team will give a full visual description of the window mural to anyone who may require it.
