Adventure Pilots Tell All

Three remarkable aviators are to come together at London’s Royal Geographical Society in support of the charity Aerobility.
The ‘Adventure of Flight’ will bring together John McFall, former Paralympian, Astronaut Reserve and disabled pilot, Jon Hunt, former BBC reporter and host of the popular YouTube channel The Flying Reporter, and John Romain MBE, aircraft restorer, air display and movie pilot, who will each share their unique experiences from the world of aviation.
All profits from the event will be donated to Aerobility, helping the charity continue its work enabling people with disabilities to experience the magic and wonder of flight.
John McFall (pictured above) will highlight the experiences and opportunities that have shaped his remarkable journey, reflecting on the importance of opportunity and how access, support and self-belief can open doors, challenge perceptions and change lives.
Jon Hunt will reveal the highs and lows of his 2026 North Atlantic flight. In Spring 2026, Jon set off on in his 1977 single engine Piper PA28 on an extraordinary adventure, navigating the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland and Canada before reaching the world famous EAA AirVenture Oshkosh event in Wisconsin.
John Romain MBE will share rare insight into working behind the scenes on one of Hollywood’s most spectacular aviation productions – Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible Final Reckoning. John will talk audiences through the three-year project that helped bring the film’s spectacular aviation sequences to life.
Whether you are a pilot, an aviation enthusiast, an aspiring aviator, or simply fascinated by extraordinary human achievement, ‘The Adventure of Flight’ offers a unique opportunity to hear from three exceptional individuals whose experiences demonstrate how aviation can be an incredible tool for changing people’s lives.

“The Adventure of Flight promises to be a fascinating afternoon, bringing together three very different aviation stories to inspire and excite the audience,” said Mike Miller-Smith, CEO of Aerobility.
“We’re extremely grateful that profits from this event will support Aerobility, helping us continue our work. Every ticket sold will enable us to reach more people with disabilities, providing them with opportunities to experience the magic of flight, challenge perceptions and discover possibilities that they may never have imagined.”
The ‘Adventure of Flight’ takes place on November 1 ( 2:30pm-5:00pm) and tickets are available by visiting https://www.flyingreporter.co.uk/afternoon-adventure
