Celebrating individuals and organisations who have made a significant impact within the disabled community, this new awards programme seeks to highlight the dedication, innovation and compassion shown by those who go above and beyond to support, uplift, and inspire others.
The Categories
Each of the eight categories recognises a unique contribution, ensuring that every effort – big or small - is acknowledged and appreciated.

Fundraising Hero Award
This is awarded to an individual who has gone the extra mile to raise funds for a good cause. The Fundraising Hero Award recognises an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and creativity in raising funds for a worthy cause, making a significant impact for a charity or community organisation. Nominees should have shown outstanding commitment, inspiring others to get involved and support charitable initiatives.
Community Club Award
This award celebrates a local club or group that has made a remarkable contribution to supporting its disabled members. Whether through organising events, offering support services, or creating opportunities for members, the winning club will have demonstrated a strong commitment to inclusivity, teamwork, and positive change, enriching the lives of those around them.
Young Person of the Year Award
This award recognises an outstanding young individual who is under 16 and who has made a positive difference in the disabled community. The recipient will have demonstrated leadership, initiative, and compassion, acting as a role model for their peers and inspiring others through their actions. Whether through volunteering, campaigning, or leading projects, nominees should exemplify the values of determination and service, showcasing the remarkable potential of young people in making a lasting impact.
Charity of the Year
This prestigious award honours a charity or social enterprise that has made an extraordinary difference over the past year. The winning organisation will have demonstrated exceptional impact through its programmes, outreach, and commitment to its mission. Judges will look for evidence of innovation, effective partnerships, and a measurable positive influence in the community.
Volunteer of the Year
This award honours an individual who has selflessly dedicated their time and energy to volunteering, consistently making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. The Volunteer of the Year will have demonstrated unwavering commitment, compassion, and a willingness to go above and beyond to support those in need.
Best Support Award
This award celebrates an individual neighbour, friend, family member or carer who consistently goes out of their way to support and uplift those around them. Whether by offering a listening ear, lending a helping hand, or fostering a sense of unity, the recipient will have made their local area a better and friendlier place. Nominees should exemplify kindness, consideration, and a genuine commitment to building strong neighbourhood bonds.
Outstanding Achievement
The Outstanding Achievement Award acknowledges an individual or organisation whose exceptional accomplishments have had a significant and lasting impact. This honour is reserved for those whose actions, dedication, or contributions go far beyond expectations, setting an inspiring example for others. The winner will have demonstrated excellence, perseverance, and a profound influence in their chosen field.
Innovation Award
This award recognises a person, group, or organisation that has introduced a creative solution or novel approach to address a pressing challenge for disabled people. The Innovation Award winner will have demonstrated forward-thinking, resourcefulness, and a willingness to embrace change for the greater good. Nominees should show clear evidence of positive outcomes achieved through their inventive ideas, inspiring others to think differently and drive progress within their community.
