Para athletes from across the globe have travelled to Sheffield to compete in the inaugural Cue-10 Para World Snooker Championship.
The landmark international event celebrating elite disability snooker has been created by Stephen Harrison MBE (pictured above), whose snooker academy has been creating safe, inclusive and empowering opportunities for people with disabilities through snooker for more than two decades.
The Academy now supports more than 250 weekly members and has become one of the leading centres for disability snooker in the UK.
Part of a wider 17-day Festival of Snooker taking place across Sheffield, the Cue-10 Para World Snooker Championship will feature international para-snooker players from the USA, China, India, Mexico and UK.
Hosted at the Canon Medical Arena at Sheffield Legacy Park, the championship qualifying rounds begin today (April 27), with the finals taking place on April 29.
