Comedian Bill Bailey has teamed up with the national We Are Undefeatable campaign to support and inspire people with long-term health conditions to be active.
It’s widely accepted that staying physically active is beneficial for our minds and bodies.
But finding the motivation to move can be challenging, especially for anyone with a long-term health condition.
We Are Undefeatable has been supporting people to build physical activity into their lives since 2019.
The campaign is led by 15 major health and social care charities and backed by National Lottery funding from Sport England.
Now the organisation has teamed up with comedian Bill Bailey to launch Freedom To Move, showcasing free ways to boost your activity levels.
With 33% of adults also admitting they’re staying home more due to the increased cost of living, We Are Undefeatable is hoping the collaboration with Bill - who lives with asthma - can highlight how small actions, such as household chores, can make a big impact on people's health.
The campaign has created three easy-to-follow exercise videos featuring everyday activities that can be done in the home, and Bill is encouraging everyone to give them a go.
“Finding ways to boost your physical activity can be a challenge if you’re living with a long-term health condition,” said Bill.
“I had fun making these videos that suggest some additional movement ideas, simple ways you can increase your activity levels at home. Nothing too fancy! Just by going about your day-to-day activities at home you can liven up your day, and these videos are there to help you find the moves that work best for you.”
