Disabled aviation charity Aerobility is seeking new trustees to join the team and shape the organisation’s future development.
The charity is currently looking for both a trustee and a trustee secretary to join the board to help steer the next 10-year vision for the charity.
Aerobility changes lives by allowing anyone, with any disability, to experience the magic and wonder of flight. The organisation provides access to modified light aircraft and equipment, giving every disabled person the unique chance to spread their wings.
Trustees play a vital role in guiding the strategic direction of the organisation and supporting the charity’s mission to make aviation accessible.
The role of Trustee Secretary offers a unique opportunity to support an inspiring cause while contributing to the governance and operational excellence of the organisation.
Operating from the main headquarters at Blackbushe in Hampshire, Aerobility relies on input from volunteers to deliver services and achieve charitable objectives. With operations from Tatenhill in the Midlands, as well as a number of other airfields across the UK on temporary detachment, Aerobility is currently developing its national coverage and presence.
“By becoming a trustee, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a world where anyone with any disability can fly”, said Aerobility’s CEO Mike Miller-Smith (pictured above).
“If you share our commitment to changing lives through flight and have the skills and experience to contribute to our mission, we encourage you to apply and become a part of Aerobility’s journey.”
Both roles are voluntary, but trustees are generally elected for three years with a possibility of extension to further terms.
