A leading national charity providing safe and fun places for disabled and non-disabled people has teamed up with the UK inclusive flight charity Freedom in the Air to send its club members soaring.
Phab Club members will take to the skies in June via flying days in Redhill (June 1) and Manchester (June 22).
Members of all ages will have an exciting opportunity to reach the clouds in both two-seater and four-seater planes with a professional pilot who will also allow them to take over the controls.
Phab has funded the flying days with support from The Florian Trust, while Freedom in the Air has played a vital role in planning with the airfields and will produce films of the events.
Those wishing to go simply need to get to their nearest airfield on either day.
“We are beyond excited to announce our flying days in Redhill and Manchester this year,” said Dawn Vickers, co-CEO at Phab.
“We are organising these once-in-a-lifetime days out to show our club members that anything is possible, to raise their self-esteem and to give them life-long memories.
“We’d also like to thank Gautam Lewis who runs Freedom in the Air, The Florian Trust for their help with funding and our staff Rebecca Hargreaves and Janine Williams who will be working onsite at the airfields.”
