Hidden Disabilities Sunflower, creators of the award-winning Sunflower lanyard, are teaming up with the organisers of a national inclusive sports event and festival of inclusivity.
Parallel Lifestyle has announced that its SuperSensory1k challenge event at Parallel Windsor on July 2 will be called the Sunflower SuperSensory1k.
From the outset, Parallel has tried to push the boundaries of mass participation and how sensory athletes can also be included in conventional physical activity. Working with Parallel Ambassador and sensory engagement and inclusion specialist, Jo Grace, the SuperSensory1K format was born.
Many participants in the SuperSensory1K have hidden disabilities or multiple disabilities and this exciting new partnership will enable continued sensory innovation through the insights the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower team will bring.
Hidden Disabilities Sunflower will also provide Sunflower lanyard training to all Parallel Windsor volunteers; known as Parallel VIPs (Very Inclusive People) and showcase at The Festival of Inclusivity.
With just one month to go, you can book now to be part of Parallel Windsor and run, walk, wander, push or pull along Windsor Great Park’s stunning Long Mile in a truly inclusive event – with courses from 100m to 10k and the Sunflower SuperSensory1K.
Events can be booked on www.parallellifestyle.com
