‘Fells for All’ Festival Promotes Accessibility

A Festival aimed at making Cumbria’s stunning landscapes more accessible to everyone is now in full swing.

Fells For All runs until the end of July and will promote access to open spaces for people with physical impairments alongside those with hidden disabilities.

Fells for All has been developed by the Accessible Cumbria Partnership, which is a network of businesses and organisations across the county who are all working together to improve access and is chaired by Cumbria Tourism.

The ethos behind this inclusive festival is to open-up Cumbria’s diverse landscapes for everyone’s wider health and wellbeing.

Visitlakedistrict.com is actively promoting the range of accessible walking routes and outdoor activities plus dementia friendly and sensory walks, creative workshops, relaxed theatre performances and more.

Visitors to the website will be able to download free maps, search for accessible changing places, look for locations that offer tramper hire or where routes are tramper suitable and find general information to help plan a fun and active visit to Cumbria.
