Get Connected

Kew Wakehurst has launched a brand-new programme designed to help individuals connect, relax and engage with the natural world.

Nature Connect is especially designed for those who may be experiencing mental health challenges, are from under- served communities or have limited experience of engaging with nature.

Adults from all walks of life are invited to join, including parents and caregivers, or someone looking to unwind and boost wellbeing.

Taking place on August 15 and September 20, two sessions a day (10.30am-1pm and 2pm-4.30pm) will introduce breathing and reflection exercises in Wakehurst’s beautiful natural setting in West Sussex.

With more than 500 acres of woodlands, wetlands and meadows to discover, Wakehurst’s landscapes are a place of tranquillity and exploration in which to escape into nature.

The sessions are free and include parking or transport to and from Haywards Heath station.

Individuals can register their interest via the online form, and the Participation Team will be in touch. Visit https://www.kew.org/learning/community-access/community-access-at-wakehurst/nature-connect-register-interest
