Virgin Media O2 is joining forces with social enterprise Evenbreak to attract and recruit more disabled people into its workplaces.
The company is advertising UK-wide job vacancies via Evenbreak’s global award-winning job board, which is run by and for disabled people.
Current vacancies include roles in engineering, finance, IT, logistics and retail.
Virgin Media O2 provides workplace adjustments to create an equitable and inclusive environment to attract, hire and retain disabled people.
It forms part of Virgin Media O2’s All In diversity equity and inclusion strategy and its aims to better reflect the diverse communities it serves.
“Disabled people have told us that it is hard to know which employers are supportive,” said Jane Hatton, Founder and CEO of Evenbreak.
“By actively promoting their job vacancies on Evenbreak, Virgin Media O2 is demonstrating to our candidates that they are an inclusive employer who puts talent first.”
Evenbreak aims to reduce the disability employment gap in three ways:
Offering inclusive and accessible careers support for disabled people looking for new or better work, including resources, events and personalised one-to-one career or business coaching.
Supporting employers to become more inclusive and accessible through training and consultancy and an online best practice portal.
Help in finding disabled people an employer through its award-winning disability job board.
“I’m thrilled that Virgin Media O2 is actively promoting job opportunities to disabled individuals through Evenbreak, demonstrating their genuine commitment to diversity and inclusion,” said Evenbreak Ambassador, Dr Shani Dhanda (pictured above), who previously worked at Virgin Media O2.
My time at Virgin Media O2 was the best employment experience I’ve ever had!”
